About Mr Matthew James
Mr Matthew James, Consultant Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon, is a well-respected consultant working within the Guy's and St Thomas's NHS Trust. He currently holds the position of senior plastic and reconstructive surgeon within this Trust. He is highly specialised in the treatment of complex limb reconstruction, rheumatoid hands, tendon reconstruction, ganglions, peripheral nerve surgery, scaphoid surgery, carpal tunnel decompression and also wrist reconstruction. He is also highly competent in all other cosmetic and aesthetic surgery including minor skin surgery procedures, including skin cancer excision and scar revision. Mr James is a highly successful surgeon and Medical Director of the Cavendish Clinics. He has developed this success through intense training around the world including London, Cambridge, Adelaide, Sydney and the renowned McIndoe Surgery Centre. He is a member of numerous professional organisations like the General Medical Council, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the Medical Protection Society, and the British Association of Hand Surgeons. Additionally, he is an active researcher with numerous publications ad books to his name. He also engages in teaching, he teaches fellow surgeons in cosmetic surgery and hand and wrist reconstruction at the Royal College of Surgeons.
