then trained specifically in vascular and endovascular surgery, becoming a

Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2009.

Martin then spent time in Australia, getting special training in keyhole surgery for vascular problems. He was honoured with a prize for being one of the best trainees there. 

Since 2011, Martin has been a consultant at University Hospitals Birmingham. He ran

the Vascular department there until 2024 and is now director of the Central

England Aortic Aneurysm Screening Program. He specialises in treating vein and

artery problems using keyhole techniques. Martin offers top-notch varicose vein

care at his award winning centre, Premier Veins. He is known for his friendly

manner and for explaining things clearly to patients. He's also involved in

research and shares his knowledge by giving talks around the world. 

Martin is a knowledgeable and approachable expert in keyhole procedures for venous disease and varicose veins, including ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy,

radiofrequency ablation and veinlite transilluminated microsclerotherapy.
