A senior Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon with extensive experience as a surgeon , trainer, educator and involved in service development over time.

Provides a high standard Breast cancer diagnostic and management service with expertise in Breast conservation, therapeutica mammoplasty, mastectomy and reconstruction along with axillary surgery.

Mr Absar obtained his fellowship in surgery (FRCS) from the Royal College of Edinburgh in 2001. He started a surgical registrar rotation in 2002 under the North Western Deanery. He completed his FRCS in General Surgery in 2007. To further enhance his experience and oncoplastic skills he spent a year out at the Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge.

Mr Absar then took a consultant post at the North Manchester General Hospital. He has published a number of papers in journals and regularly presents at national and international conferences. Since joining the Pennine Acute NHS Trust he has started the sentinel lymph node biopsy for axillary staging in early breast cancers. His main area of interest is oncoplastic breast conservation and breast reconstruction.

Mr Absar provides a breast service for both benign and malignant breast conditions including cosmetic and corrective breast surgery.

At The Wilmslow Hospital, Mr Absar offers a weekly breast Triple Assessment Clinic.
