Mr Karyee Chow

About
Mr Chow completed his medical degree at Guy's and St Thomas' Medical School in 1996, followed by his specialist training in urology on the North West rotation. In 2000, he completed his Master's degree in bladder dysfunction at University College London and in 2007, he was awarded his MD by the University of Manchester for his research work on kidney stone disease. He became a Fellow in Urology of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2007 and became a General Medical Council registered specialist in urology in 2009.
In his current clinical practice, Mr Chow provides a comprehensive range of urological services, including kidney stone treatments, minimally invasive therapies such as shock wave lithotripsy, ureteroscopic laser surgery, keyhole surgery for kidney stones and kidney removal; prostate surgery (bipolar TURP & urolift), vasectomy, foreskin surgery, hydrocele surgery, epididymal cyst removal and bladder lesion removal.
His NHS practice is at Wythenshawe & Withington Hospitals, part of Manchester University foundation trust. He is clinical & educational lead for urology at Wythenshawe & WIthington hospitals.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Chow has published several research papers in peer reviewed journals and has presented his work both nationally and internationally. He holds professional memberships with the British Association of Urological Surgeons and the European Association of Urology.
