Mr John Knight
About
I am an experienced laparoscopic and robotic surgeon and the current Clinical Lead for Surgery at Southampton.
My practice involves the care of patients with all forms of colorectal disease including emergency abdominal surgery. I specialise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of rectal & colon cancer, and gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumours.
I perform all types of colorectal and general surgery including the treatment of bowel cancer, diverticular disease and benign proctology conditions (including haemorrhoids, anal fissure and fistulae).
I perform diagnostic colonoscopy.
I have a general surgery interest in abdominal hernias, in particular laparoscopic ‘key hole’ surgery for groin hernia.
I work with a multi-disciplinary team of surgeons, specialist radiologists, oncologists, gastroenterologists and nurse specialists. Privately I operate at the Spire Southampton Hospital.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
