Mr Hilali Noordeen is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgeon with over two decades of experience treating and managing orthopaedic and spinal problems such as spinal deformity, degenerative adult deformity, and deformity as a result of spinal injury. Mr Noorden qualified in medicine before going on to train at the University of Oxford, where he was president of the Oxford Union. He then undertook the Royal College of Surgeons examination and was awarded the Gold Medal. In 1995, after completing his training, he became a consultant at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. He is also currently a visiting professor at the University of Colombia (USA) and the National University of Malaysia.
Mr Noordeen is involved in scientific research and has published multiple peer-reviewed publications in prestigious scientific journals. He also holds medical technology patents for his discoveries in tissue regeneration following spinal cord injury. Mr Noordeen is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society and manages a family-run educational facility in Sri Lanka for children affected by natural disasters.
