Mr Fazel Fatah is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon based in Birmingham. He specialises in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and has a special interest in breast surgery.
Mr Fatah is a past president of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and has advised on the National Institute of Clinical Excellence on fat grafting. He completed his plastic surgery training in London, Birmingham and Oxford before qualifying taking up a Consultant post at the West Midlands Regional Plastic Surgery centre, Wordsley.
Mr Fatah is responsible for introducing modern breast reconstructive surgery to the West Midlands and along with surgical colleagues, he established the first centre for mastectomy and immediate breast reconstruction in the region. He has a special interest in research and education and he has many publications in peer-reviewed journals. He also teaches at a national and international level and organises advanced postgraduate teaching courses in reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery. In particular, Mr Fatah has an interest in teaching Lipomodelling with fat graft, breast augmentation and correction of breast deformities and asymmetry.
