Dr Wong is a Consultant Rheumatologist. They are passionate about delivering a high level of patient-centred care and promoting patient safety.
Dr Wong is a strong advocate for the use of ultrasound in Rheumatology. They co-founded the South Central Rheumatology Ultrasound Network in 2010 and have chaired this popular quarterly peer review network. They are also a visiting ultrasound tutor nationally. Dr Wong is a committee member of British Society for Rheumatology Ultrasound Special Interest Group, planning for ultrasound training courses. They have chaired and hosted both regional and national Advanced Ultrasound in Inflammatory Arthritis Clinical Perceptorships with international Rheumatology sonography experts.
Dr Wong is also a Rheumatology specialty tutor and education supervisor. They are passionate about helping trainees to fulfil their potential. Dr Wong is a strong believer that better clinical outcomes can be achieved when clinical research is delivered alongside routine patient care. They have been UK Chief Investigator for five clinical trials.
