About
Mr Cox has a special interest in sports injuries and the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques. Mr Cox uses 3D imaging to tailor knee replacements to each patient. Mr Cox completed his undergraduate training at Charing Cross Hospital and he trained in general surgery at Kings College Hospital. He taught basic sciences and anatomy at Cambridge University. He later specialised in orthopaedics at St. Bartholomew's Hospital, London and rotated through Guy's Hospital, the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Conquest Hospital and St. Thomas' Hospital. Mr Cox also undertook a travelling knee fellowship in the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, USA.
He is a very experienced orthopaedic surgeon having undertaken more than 4000 knee and hip replacements.
He uses computer navigation , and patient specific implants to improve joint replacement alignment to improve patient outcome. Mr Cox is trained in the Mako robotic assisted surgery, and undertakes robotic assisted joint replacement.
