He specialises in cataract surgery under local or topical anaesthesia, as well as glaucoma surgery, and has expertise in the surgical management of glaucoma-trabeculectomy, non-penetrating glaucoma surgery, SEN implants, CyPass, and iStent.
Other treatments used in his practice include anti-VEGF (e.g. Lucentis, Eylea), steroid implants (e.g. Ozurdex, ILuvien, and micropulse laser therapy.
Additionally, Mr Dragnev is the diabetic retinopathy lead at St Helen's Hospital, where he also manages medical retina conditions (such as age-related macular degeneration, central retinal vein occlusion, and branch retinal vein occlusion).
Mr Dragnev gained his medical degree in 2004 and is a fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology. He is also a fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology.
