Orthopaedic Surgery
About
Upon graduating from Kings College, Mr Hulme undertook specialist surgical training on the South West Thames Rotation. He held the position of AO Spine Clinical Fellow, working between Frenchay and Cardiff Spinal Units which allowed him to spend a year as a Visiting Spinal Fellow in Sydney. In Sydney he was able to work and train alongside experts in the field such as Professor Michael Ryan and Ian Farey. All these opportunities expanded and advanced Mr Hulme's knowledge and experience permitting him to develop a special interest in Cervical Spine Surgery.
Following his training, Mr Hulme began practicing as a Consultant at the Hartshill Spinal Unit before moving to London where he worked at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital.
Today his practice covers all aspects of Adult Spinal Surgery with a main focus on Cervical Spine Pathology. Mr Hulme is actively involved in medical education and training; his commitments include supervising the training of surgical trainees as both Clinical and Educational Supervisor. Additionally, he teaches higher surgical trainees on the South East Thames Spinal Instrumentation Course.
