About Mr Chris MacGovern
Mr Christopher MacGovern is BACP registered relationship psychotherapist currently working in both the NHS and in private practice. Mr MacGovern completed an MSc in systemic psychotherapy (2007) for working with individuals, couples and families at Birkbeck College London). Mr MacGovern regularly participates in training making sure he engages with latest research and thinking. Mr MacGovern specialises in couple relationships and the impact of stressed relationships on individuals through to families. He has counselled over 1000 clients to make their relationships work. And the vast majority say that our work together has contributed to a significant and beneficial change in their lives. He believes success comes from professional skills and is a fully qualified Systemic Psychotherapist, besides this he believes that the main contributor is teamwork, building a great partnership with his clients. Mr MacGovern has also more recently trained in working with individuals suffering from childhood trauma or PTSD. He offers services here for individuals including EMDR.
