About
He was born and gew up in Bristol, UK and studied medicine at Cambridge University, with his early medical training in East Anglia, Leicester and London. His Orthopaedic training was in London, including the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, and on a travelling fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery and Sports injuries in Melbourne, Australia. On his return to the UK he briefly worked again at Stanmore as a locum Consultant before taking up his current substantive Consultant post in 2004.
Callum has expertise in the full range of foot and ankle conditions. His surgical interests include arthritis, sports injuries and deformity correction. He has a particular interest in complex bunion deformities, sports injuries and ankle repalcement surgery. Wherever appropriate he uses arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques.
He has an active involvement in research and education. He has published and presented both nationally and internationally on various aspects of Foot and Ankle Surgery and has been principle investigator in a number of multi-centre trials. He regularly lectures to surgeons, general practitioners, physiotherapists and podiatrists both locally and nationally. He has been a recognised Foot and Ankle surgical fellowship trainer since co-founding the Windsor Foot and Ankle Fellowship in 2007. He is currently Treasurer of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) and has held a number of other local and national leadership roles thus far in his career.
Callum also undertakes private practice in Windsor, Ascot and Stoke Poges, as well as in London as part of the Fortius Clinic. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He lives locally to the clinic, is married with three children, and has lots of hobbies.
