About Mr Andrew Schofield
Mr Schofield has been a Consultant Surgeon at Nuffield Health Shrewsbury Hospital for over 13 years. He trained at St.Bartholomew's Hospital and then on a surgical rotation in North West London, completing his speciality training at St Marks. Mr. Schofield is a general surgeon specialising in coloproctology. The majority of his work involves the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer, diverticular disease and inflammatory bowel disease. His interests include colonoscopy and also the treatment of minor proctology such as haemorrhoids, fissures, fistula and pilonidal sinus. Mr Schofield also has a significant involvement in surgical emergencies and the management of the acute abdomen. He also undertakes surgery for gallbladder disease and abdominal hernia as well as skin legions and ‘lumps and bumps'.
