Prof Alok Tiwari

Professor Alok Tiwari is a Consultant in General Surgery specialising in Vascular Surgery. He offers first-class care and treatments including management of varicose veins, aneurysms and arterial disease, aortic surgery, distal artery reconstruction angioplasty and many more. He currently holds a Consultant NHS post at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where he developed the diabetic foot service and is also a visiting professor of vascular surgery at Birmingham City University. He practises privately at the prestigious Circle Priory Hospital offering prompt assessment and treatment at a time convenient to you. In 1996, Mr Alok Tiwari qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School and continued his surgical training at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Essex. At the Royal Free, London Mr Tiwari undertook a Master of Surgery degree and received specialist registrar training in London and Essex in both general and vascular surgery. He completed a Vascular Fellowship at Westmead Hospital Australia in 2007. Mr Tiwari has a keen interest in medical education, teaching and training medical students as well as specialist trainees, and is heavily involved in research with over 100 publications in his career. He also organises seminars to educate other healthcare professionals and optimise patient care and outcomes.  He is a member of the European Society of Vascular Surgery and the British Societ of Endovascular Therapy.
