About Morgan Balsam
Morgan Balsam is a dedicated physiotherapist practicing at ESP Physio in Edinburgh. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia in 2022, following completion of a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a minor in Spanish from the University of Georgia in 2018. Morgan began her career as a travel physical therapist, intentionally seeking diverse clinical environments to broaden her experience and strengthen her ability to treat a wide range of conditions and impairments. This varied background has equipped her with a well-rounded, adaptable approach to patient care. Her professional path was deeply influenced by her own experience living with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Confronted with limited guidance around safe and effective exercise for individuals with POTS, Morgan developed a strong commitment to expanding her knowledge and helping others navigate complex or under-recognised conditions. This personal insight continues to shape her compassionate, patient-centred approach. Outside of the clinic, Morgan enjoys exploring her new home city of Edinburgh, attending fitness classes, and spending time outdoors walking her dogs, Bruno and Louie.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
