Dr. Mohd Azzam Kayasseh is a Specialist Gastroenterologist. He earned his MD from the University of Damascus in 1977 and has since enhanced his qualifications with a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow, and certifications from the University of Cote d’Azur (AEPS, DU, DIS) in 1989 and 1993. In 2001, he became a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG), followed by a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCP) in 2014 and AACME certification in 2016.
Dr. Kayasseh’s research includes a thesis on the endoscopic treatment of bleeding ulcers by local injection, completed at the University of Cote d’Azur in 1993. He has been serving patients in the United Arab Emirates—primarily in Fujairah and Dubai—since 1979. In 2010, he launched the Liver Transplantation Care Program in Dubai and now serves as its Medical Director, working in affiliation with the International Liver Centers.
His mission is to provide a unique level of care through accurate diagnosis, ongoing treatment, and comprehensive follow-up, embodied in his “Care To Cure Program.” Dr. Kayasseh is also actively involved in clinical microbiome sciences and disease risk stratification, focusing on conditions such as IBD, IBS, and obesity, and he is skilled in a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including upper and lower digestive endoscopy, abdominal ultrasound, diagnostic fibroscan, and percutaneous gastrostomy.
