About
He has extensive experience managing complex anterior segment conditions such as keratoconus, irregular corneas, corneal dystrophies and ocular surface disease. He performs high-volume cataract surgery with a strong focus on premium intraocular lens technology and refractive precision.
He has a particular interest in achieving spectacle independence through careful lens selection and personalised surgical planning, tailoring treatment to each patient’s lifestyle and visual goals.

Mr Ahmad graduated with distinction from Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ School of Medicine, achieving multiple prizes including a scholarship for ranking in the top 1% of his year. He completed specialist ophthalmology training in Yorkshire and the West Midlands and undertook advanced fellowships in cornea, anterior segment and refractive surgery at University Hospitals Birmingham and St Paul’s Eye Unit. He has also undertaken an advanced refractive observership training at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.
In addition to his clinical practice, he is actively involved in research and postgraduate teaching. He is a Visiting Professor of Ophthalmology at King Edward Medical University, Lahore, and holds an Honorary Clinical Lectureship at the University of Liverpool.
