Dr Mohamed Farghaly is a highly experienced Consultant in Family Medicine at United Medical Center, Dubai, with over 30 years of experience working in the UAE, UK and Ireland. He completed his medical degree at Alexandria University, Egypt in 1980. He later moved to Europe and completed a Diploma in International Health recognised by the Royal College of General Practitioners of Ireland in 1994. Dr Farghaly is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) and holds a DMSc degree in Diabetes from the University of South Wales (UK).
In 2002, Dr Farghaly was appointed as Manager of Primary Health Care in the Department of Health and Medical Service. In 2006, he became the Head of Chronic Care of the Primary Health Care Services Sector (PHCSS-DHA) in Dubai and was reallocated to Director of Health Insurance in 2014.
Dr Farghaly has expertise in all aspects of family medicine, with particular interest in diabetes, paediatrics and medical education. He offers the following services at United Medical Center:
Management of diabetes
Management of thyroid conditions
Management of hypertension
Management of acute and chronic illnesses
Annual health check-ups
Immunisations
Health packages
Nutrition education and diet plans
Health screening
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Farghaly has also held the position of Assistant Professor at Dubai Medical College for almost 20 years. He is also a DHA accredited tutor and examiner for Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) membership examinations and Senior Tutor in Diabetes at the University of Leicester in the UK.
