About

Miles is a triple fellowship trained Consultant Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic Surgeon and has subspecialty expertise in ophthalmic cosmetic, reconstructive, and lacrimal surgery. He holds a substantive consultant post at the Royal Free London, and is the oculoplastic lead at North Middlesex University Hospital.  He also specialises in cataract and pterygium surgery.

Miles earned his medical degree and a masters in research from the University of Manchester, graduating in 2010. He went on to obtain a masters in the biology of vision from University College London in 2013.

He completed his ophthalmology training in the prestigious North London Deanery, spending five years at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital. He completed three oculoplastic fellowships, including two at Moorfields, and has been trained by leaders in the fields of oculoplastic and cataract surgery.

He has extensive general and emergency ophthalmology experience, having worked as a locum consultant in the Accident and Emergency department at Moorfields from 2020 to 2022, and is the clinical lead for emergency ophthalmology at North Middlesex University Hospital.

As an honorary clinical lecturer at UCL, and assistant professor at St George’s University, Miles is keenly involved in training the next generation of ophthalmologists.
