Mr. Michalis Panteli is a Consultant at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre in Exeter, appointed in 2022. His special interests include complex primary and revision arthroplasty, along with a wide range of trauma conditions.

Mr. Panteli completed his medical degree with honours at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece in 2008. He then pursued his higher training in Yorkshire, primarily based in Leeds, and was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2021. Afterward, he completed a prestigious post-CCT complex and revision hip and knee fellowship in Exeter.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Mr. Panteli has a strong academic background. He was appointed as an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the University of Leeds in 2015. He later completed his PhD on the “Molecular and Biological Profile of Non-union Tissue.” Following his PhD, he became an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the University of Leeds in 2019, where he continued both laboratory and clinical research. His academic focus is on bone healing, trauma sequelae, and hip reconstruction and replacement. He has presented his research at international conferences and has over 60 publications in esteemed journals.

Mr. Panteli is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) and the British Hip Society (BHS).
