About

Michael Mosol is an integrative psychotherapist at Nightingale Hospital, where he supports individuals through a range of psychological and emotional challenges. His areas of experience include addiction, depression, anxiety, anger management, eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia, interpersonal difficulties, and dual diagnosis. Michael has worked at Nightingale Hospital since 2008 and brings over two decades of therapeutic experience from roles across government, voluntary and private mental health services.

Michael’s approach is rooted in the original meaning of the word therapia — “to walk with.” He views therapy as a collaborative journey, shaped by the relationship between therapist and client. His integrative method draws on a range of modalities including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural (CBT), 12-step, humanistic, and existential approaches. He tailors each treatment plan to suit the individual, with a strong belief that the client’s willingness to engage plays a vital role in the success of therapy.

He currently works with clients aged 11 to 68, with a clinical focus on eating disorders, addiction recovery, and mood-related difficulties such as anxiety and depression. His therapeutic work includes both one-to-one and group therapy, and his experience spans a wide variety of settings and client backgrounds.

Michael holds a BA (Hons), a Diploma in Addictions Counselling, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. He is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), BACP Accredited, and UKRCP registered.

Outside of his clinical practice, Michael has a strong interest in working with elderly and geriatric clients in the voluntary sector.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”

— Michael Mosol
