Michael Daly is a dedicated counsellor and psychotherapist based in Miltown Malbay, County Clare, offering one-to-one support to adults, students, and teenagers both online and in person. He holds a BA (Hons) in Holistic Counselling & Psychotherapy from Munster Technological University (MTU), where he developed a strong foundation in CBT, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, and trauma-informed therapy. Since qualifying in 2019, he has expanded his expertise to include Existential Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.
Michael works with clients experiencing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, stress, identity issues, relationship difficulties, and personal development concerns. His integrative approach combines elements from Adlerian, Humanistic, Jungian, and Transpersonal theories, tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs.
He is a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and adheres strictly to its professional code of ethics. Alongside his clinical work, Michael is a visiting lecturer at MTU, teaching the history and application of psychoanalytical theory.
Originally from Kanturk, North Cork, Michael has lived in London and Japan, and now enjoys life on the west coast of Ireland. In his downtime, he enjoys reading, playing the banjo, watching films, listening to podcasts, and walking in nature.
