About Dr Malvina Cunningham
Dr Malvina Cunningham is a UK trained Consultant Dermatologist with over a decade of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, moles and skin cancer. She works as a consultant Dermatologist in London where she leads the severe eczema and psoriasis service at Barts Health, UK's largest NHS Trust. She sees private patients at Nuffield Health Tunbridge Wells Hospital. Dr Cunningham centres her practice around evidence based medicine and holistic approaches. Dr Cunningham gained her primary medical qualification at University College London in 2009, graduating with honours after completing her Bachelor's degree in Anatomy and Developmental Biology. While completing her medical degree, Dr Cunningham was also awarded her PhD for her research on scarring and collagen formation. Dr Cunningham then trained as a dermatologist at various renowned London teaching Hospitals including the St Barts NHS Trust. She then gained membership with the Royal College of Physicians and later completed her Certification in Dermatology in 2018. Dr Cunningham has received over 10 national and international awards, scholarships and prizes from the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the British Skin Foundation and the Royal Society of medicine amongst others for her clinical practice and academic research. She has also been made Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University, where she tutors General Practitioners and future medical professionals training to be Dermatologists. She is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and the Royal Society of Medicine. She lives with her husband and daughter in Sussex.
