Ms Al Malla is a Paediatrician. A Paediatrician is a medical doctor who manages the physical, behavioural and mental care of children from birth until age 18. Paediatricians are trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, from minor illnesses to complex diseases.
Paediatricians are often involved in the care of children from the time they are born. They may provide well-child care, including vaccinations and developmental screenings. They also diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses, such as ear infections, colds, and stomach flu. In addition, Paediatricians may provide care for children with chronic conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, and congenital heart defects.
Ms Al Malla qualified as a doctor. To become a doctor, an individual must complete a five-year undergraduate degree in medicine, followed by two years of foundation training and then a further three to seven years of specialist training.
