Dr Magdy Gibrail is a Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry at Tajmeel Clinic – Al Shahamah, Abu Dhabi, with over 20 years of experience in providing comprehensive dental care to infants, children, and adolescents. Originally from Egypt, Dr Gibrail has worked extensively across the GCC region, including in Bahrain, Qatar, and the UAE, with nearly a decade of professional practice in the region.
Dr Gibrail is highly skilled in managing a wide range of paediatric patients, including children with special needs, uncooperative behaviour, or dental anxiety. He has undergone specialised training in the use of nitrous oxide sedation and has successfully completed more than 5,000 cases using this technique in the past 5 years. He is also experienced in performing dental procedures under general anaesthesia, having completed more than 2,500 such cases over the same period. His expertise includes root canal treatment both in clinical settings and under general anaesthesia, for both children and adults. Dr Gibrail is also known for his expertise in managing uncooperative, physically disabled, and oncology children for complete dental treatment.
With a particular interest in interceptive orthodontics, Dr Gibrail focuses on early intervention to guide proper dental development and prevent malocclusion. He is also trained in managing traumatic dental injuries in children and offers full mouth rehabilitation for paediatric and special needs patients, including the use of zirconium crowns and stainless steel crowns, both in clinic and under general anaesthesia.
Dr Gibrail earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Alexandria University in 2003 and went on to complete a Master’s degree in Paediatric Dentistry from the same institution in 2011. His postgraduate training included a residency in Paediatric Dentistry at Alexandria University Hospital, where he refined his clinical skills and deepened his theoretical knowledge.
In addition to his core qualifications, Dr Gibrail has completed further courses in smile design, the detection and management of temporomandibular joint disorders, sports-related oral injuries, endodontics, crowns and bridges, and the use of habit-breaking and minor orthodontic appliances. His broad skill set also includes fillings using amalgam, composite, and glass ionomer materials, tooth whitening, pulpotomy and pulpectomy, oral prophylaxis, space maintainers, pit and fissure sealants, and coloured tooth restorations.
