About Ms Magdalena García
Magdalena García is a Clinical Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist with experience in treating individuals, from children to adults, who are dealing with mental health conditions and eating disorders. With a holistic approach as her guiding principle, Magdalena believes in tailoring treatment to meet the unique needs of each individual. Central to her practice is the establishment of a therapeutic alliance built on compassion, understanding, and empathy. She holds a Diploma in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and has trained as an attachment-based therapist with the Theraplay Institute. Additionally, she pursued an MSc in Affective Disorders at King's College London, specialising in depression, bipolar disorders, and anxiety disorders. Magdalena further enhanced her expertise by training as a Mentalisation-Based Treatment psychotherapist at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families. Her diverse skill set also includes knowledge in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Transactional Analysis. Throughout her career, Magdalena has worked with a wide range of psychiatric disorders and concerns, including eating disorders, depression, self-harming behaviours, bereavement, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, attachment issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and trauma. In her practice, Magdalena fosters a safe and nurturing environment where clients can freely express themselves without fear of judgement. Drawing on various therapeutic modalities such as verbal communication, art therapy, games, and sand tray therapy, she collaborates with her clients to build trust and facilitate self-awareness, ultimately guiding them towards positive transformation.
