During his training, he was an EFORT (European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology) fellow in Switzerland and pursued further specialised training in Belgium. He is a member of EFORT and actively participates in international training to continuously refine his surgical skills.
He has a particular focus on sports medicine, arthroscopic procedures of the hip, shoulder, and knee, and total joint replacement of the hip and knee. Dr Vrdoljak is skilled in minimally invasive surgical approaches, including the efficient direct anterior (EDA) technique for total hip replacement, which can promote a faster recovery by avoiding cutting through muscle. He also has extensive experience in the conservative treatment of acute and chronic injuries and has worked with numerous top-level athletes in the prevention and management of sports-related conditions.
