Dr. Louise Dickinson is a Consultant Radiologist with a specialist focus on diagnostic and interventional uroradiology. Having qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2004, she initially trained as a specialist registrar in urology before transitioning to clinical radiology training. She was awarded a PhD in prostate cancer imaging and focal therapies from University College London (UCL) in 2015.
In 2020, Dr. Dickinson was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist specialising in urological imaging at UCLH, and she currently practices at King Edward VII's Hospital. Her clinical expertise encompasses urological ultrasound, MRI/CT imaging, adrenal imaging, image-targeted prostate biopsies, and prostate brachytherapy, among other procedures. Dr. Dickinson also has a subspecialist interest in prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment, including focal therapy and high-dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy, and she actively participates in international research on prostate MRI, with several highly cited publications.
In recognition of her contributions to the field, she was appointed Honorary Associate Professor at UCL in 2023.
