About
Her particular interest is in the effect of blood clotting disorders on women's health for example leading to heavy menstrual bleeding.
She also offers comprehensive investigative tests and interpretation for patients with excessive bleeding e.g. easy bruising or bleeding following surgery.
Dr Bowles earned her medical degree from the University of London in 1995. She completed her specialty training in haematology at University College Hospital, The Royal Free Hospital, and Great Ormond Street Hospital after completing medical rotations in London.
Since 2008, she has worked as a thrombosis and haemostasis consultant at the Royal London Hospital, where she also holds leadership roles for the trust. She runs bleeding and thrombosis clinics, as well as combined clinics with colleagues in women's health.
Dr Bowles has authored a number of local and national thrombosis and haemostasis guidelines. She is also a teacher and examiner for The Royal College of Pathologists.
