Dr Ben Salem Hachmi served as an Associate Professor at the University of Medicine of Tunis for more than 15 years and was Head of the Endocrinology Department at the National Institute of Nutrition in Tunis from 2017 to 2018. From April 2019 to July 2025, she worked as a Specialist Endocrinologist at Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital in Abu Dhabi, where she also held the role of Internship Programme Director for three academic years.
Her postgraduate training includes specialist training in pituitary diseases at Paris XI in 2004, a Diploma in Thyroidology from Lille, France in 2010, and formal training in Therapeutic Education between 2016 and 2017. She is a member of the European Society of Endocrinology and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology.
Dr Ben Salem Hachmi’s clinical practice covers a broad range of endocrine conditions. Her areas of expertise include the management of diabetes (type 1, type 2, and gestational), thyroid disorders such as hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, and goitre, and pituitary conditions including acromegaly, hyperprolactinaemia, hypopituitarism, and diabetes insipidus. She also manages growth and pubertal development disorders, adrenal gland conditions, reproductive endocrinology issues including menstrual irregularities and polycystic ovary syndrome, calcium and parathyroid disorders, and lipid abnormalities.
