As an experienced therapist and supervisor, and an accredited member of the BACP and IPT UK Laura has developed two main ways of working and offer a range of support that can be tailored to client’s needs.

I offer flexible and accesible sessions either online or some face to face sessions within the wider Bournemouth area.

Therapies offered

• 1:1 Integrative Counselling (short or long term therapy).

• 1:1 Interpersonal Psychotherapy, IPT (16- 18 week structured therapy).

• 1:1 Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents IPT- A (12 week structured therapy)

Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT);

IPT is structured psychotherapy that focuses on the link between our relationships and our mental wellbeing. It is collaborative approach that focuses on the present and how we can improve our mental wellbeing by forming healthier relationships. IPT will guide you in exploring your issues and support you to develop goals to make changes for a healthier and happier you.

Laura is a trained IPT practitioner, supervisor and IPT-A practitioner which is a specific adaptation of IPT to support adolescents with the issues listed above. Laura is also currently training as a trainer in IPT.

Integrative Counselling:

Through integrative Counselling Laura has developed a creative approach to support you to explore the things that have shaped you. Helping you connect with emotions, understand past experiences and help you find a direction for your future. An integrative approach can be beneficial because it's so personalised, helping you to reflect on your situation to develop emotional wellbeing and enabling you to live life to your full potential.
