Dr Khalaf has a particular interest in non-invasive structural heart surgery, such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and the repair of congenital heart defects like patent foramen ovale (PFO). His research interests include the effects of obesity and insulin resistance on cardiac function.
