Dr Kelly Bertram
About
She is highly experienced in all aspects of general neurology and also sees patients with medical complaints such as headaches, migraines, cognitive problems, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis. Alongside her Neurology Network Melbourne consultations, Dr Bertram additionally consults at other private hospitals including the Alfred Hospital where she is the head of the movement disorders service.
Dr Bertram qualified with her MBBS in 2002 from the University of Melbourne where she was also awarded the Peter G Jones essay prize for her work. She later undertook further training at the Austin Hospital and took neurology specialist training there and at Geelong Hospital. Dr Bertram has completed a number of fellowship training programmes which have given her a wealth of knowledge in movement disorders. She has also had much of her work published in medical journals including her work on the diagnosis and management of dystonia, as well as the non-motor complications of Parkinson's disease. Dr Bertram is involved in ongoing research and is also a senior lecturer at Monash University.
