About Dr Katherine Cummins
Dr Katherine Cummins is a highly qualified healthcare professional with a passion for providing exceptional patient care. Dr Cummins graduated with honours from medical school at The University of Melbourne. Following medical school, Dr Cummins completed combined haematology training in Melbourne, Australia. To further their studies, Dr Cummins completed a PhD in CAR T-cells at The University of Pennsylvania (USA). During their PhD candidature, Dr Cummins focused on the development and clinical translation of CAR T-cells for the treatment of acute myeloid leukaemia. Dr Cummins was awarded several scholarships during this time and contributed to publications in prestigious journals. After returning to Australia, Dr Cummins became a founding member of the Centre of Excellence in Cellular Immunotherapy Translation Laboratory.
