Her interest later shifted to cardiac arrhythmias during her PhD research, which examined three-dimensional reconstructions of post-infarction scar as a substrate for ventricular tachycardia. This research ignited her passion for cardiac electrophysiology, leading her to further specialise at Royal Brompton Hospital in London, complemented by an observational fellowship at Hospital Clinic in Barcelona, Spain.
Since 2022, she has served as a consultant electrophysiologist at Royal Brompton Hospital, and from 2023 she has held a joint consultant position at both Royal Brompton Hospital and Lister Hospital in Stevenage. Dr Malaczynska-Rajpold is also actively involved with the European Heart Rhythm Association, having chaired the Young EP Committee and served on the EHRA Board, and she currently co-chairs the EHRA National Cardiac Societies Committee.
