Dr José Zurdo is a GDC registered Dentist specialising in Periodontics. He has over 22 years of dental experience and 20 years of specialist experience in periodontics.
Dr Zurdo received his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bilbao, Spain in 1983. He developed his passion for dental implantology through working in his own dental practice in Spain for 12 years. With this passion he trained in several dental institutions and completed a Master's Degree in Implantology from New York University College of Dentistry in 1995.
He later discovered his passion for Periodontics after finding that it is the foundation of all dental areas. He trained in Periodontics and completed a Master's degree in Periodontics in 2002 at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Through this he developed his skills and expertise in surgical periodontology and implantology.
After completing his MSc in Periodontics, Dr Zurdo began practicing as a Specialist Periodontist in a number of dental clinics in the UK, including:

Carisbrooke Dental Practice, Leicester LE2 1RL
OSD Healthcare, Hemel Hempstead HP2 7YU
In his current role, he mainly performs carries out the following:
Management of severe periodontal disease
Restorative dental procedures
Dental implants
Hard and soft tissue grafting
Microsurgical plastic procedures
