About Mr John Sharp
Mr John Sharp is a Consultant Cataract and Corneal Surgeon. He is a surgical trainer for eye doctors in the East of England region. He performs complex cataract surgery as well as corneal graft surgery. He is the lead consultant for cataract surgery at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Mr Sharp received fellowship training in corneal surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, as well as King's College Hospital, London and Leicester Royal Infirmary. He spent time at the top-ranked corneal centre in India, the LV Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, where he learnt additional techniques for complex cataract surgery as well as how to manage severe corneal infections. He has published on safety in cataract surgery and teaches corneal graft and cataract surgical procedures on the Cambridge corneal fellowship programme.
