About Dr Jennifer Byrom
Miss Jennifer Byrom is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist with over 20 years of dedicated practice, specialising in gynaecological oncology. Since 2012, she has served as the lead clinician at Birmingham Women’s Hospital, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping clinical services. Alongside this she also practices privately at the Priory Hospital and Harborne Hospital, Birmingham. Miss Byrom’s expertise lies particularly in colposcopy and the management of vulval diseases, including vulval pain and vulval cancer. Her journey into colposcopy began in 2000 when she completed specialised training and has since maintained her accreditation, most recently renewing it in 2022. She is also the Clinical Service Planning Lead for Colposcopy and Vulval conditions, reflecting her leadership in these specialised areas. Additionally, she runs a specialist Vulval Pain Clinic at Birmingham Women’s Hospital, providing focused care for patients with complex vulval issues. Miss Byrom holds the RCOG/BSCCP Diploma in Colposcopy, underscoring her advanced qualifications in this field. Known for her excellent communication skills, she combines empathy with clarity to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.
