About Dr Jacqueline Hewitt
Dr Jacky Hewitt is a paediatrician endocrinologist based in Parkville, Melbourne. She treats all endocrine disorders affecting children including diabetes, growth disorders, thyroid conditions, obesity, adrenal gland disorders, sex development issues, Klinefelter syndrome, and gender dysphoria. Dr Hewitt consults at The Children's Private Medical Group, Parkville, and ensures to give her patients the best care possible using the latest medical treatments available. Dr Hewitt qualified with her MBBS from the University of Western Australia in 2000 and undertook her training at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne. She now delivers paediatric lectures at Monash University and is currently completing a PhD in paediatric endocrinology. Dr Heweitt has had her work published in numerous journal articles and has also won a number of awards from institutes including the University of Melbourne, the Australasian Paediatric Endocrine Group, and the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia. Dr Hewitt has written guidelines for a range of endocrine disorders and is viewed as a leading expert in sex development disorders and gender dysphoria. She is regularly invited to speak internationally on these topics as well as consulting for various governmental organisations on sex and gender issues. In addition, Dr Hewitt carries out humanitarian aid work and is dedicated to helping those in need. She currently works for a number of organisations and is the Director of Medecins Sans Frontieres Australia.
