Following this, he undertook a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Centre, which he completed in 1999. Dr Alqerem is a fellow of the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
He is board-certified in adult neurology, clinical neurophysiology, and sleep medicine. His clinical practice is focused on the treatment of conditions such as epilepsy, sleep disorders, and neuromuscular diseases. He also has extensive experience in headache management and the use of Botox injections for various neurological disorders. Dr Alqerem has a particular interest in treating patients with sleep disorders and interpreting sleep studies.
