Dr. Hesham also trained at ENDOKlinik in Hamburg and Harborview Hospital in Seattle, gaining extensive expertise in total hip and knee replacement surgery. He has served as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at King Hamad University Hospital in Bahrain. His clinical interests include hip arthroscopy, direct anterior total hip arthroplasty, hip resurfacing, and unicompartmental knee arthroplasty.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hesham has conducted extensive research in orthopaedics and trauma, earning multiple awards, including the NHS Innovation Award and the Norman Capener Award from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has published and presented numerous research projects in international journals and conferences. His areas of expertise include total knee replacement, total hip replacement, revision hip and knee procedures, knee arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, arthroscopic meniscal repair, lower limb trauma, and sports injuries.
