Mr. Ferguson further advanced his expertise by obtaining an MD by Research from Birmingham University, focusing on vaccine treatments for colorectal cancer, and undertook a visiting surgical fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada.

His NHS practice is based at Warwick Hospital, where he routinely performs major bowel surgeries for conditions such as cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. He also regularly assess and operates on children with general surgical issues such as hernias or undescended testicles. Mr. Ferguson is also highly skilled in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, with a reputation for achieving excellent patient comfort and satisfaction scores.

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr. Ferguson served as President of the Dukes' Club, the National Trainee Association for Colorectal Surgery.
