General Surgery
About
Dr Cheung undertook his surgical training at Concord Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he developed strong clinical foundations. He further refined his skills in minimally invasive and robotic surgery at Concord Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital, areas that now form a key part of his practice.
His clinical interests include colorectal cancer, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and a wide range of anorectal conditions such as haemorrhoids, anal fissures, and fistulas.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Cheung is actively involved in research and surgical education. He has a particular interest in rectal cancer outcomes and serves as a principal investigator in several national and international collaborative studies. He regularly presents at conferences and contributes to training future surgeons through his roles at Concord Clinical School and the Concord Institute of Academic Surgery.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
