About Mr Hatem Salem-Saqer
Mr Hatem Salem-Saqer is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with specialist fellowship training in both foot and ankle surgery and paediatric orthopaedic surgery. He has been in a consultant role for over five years and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Tr & Orth), listed on the GMC Specialist Register for Trauma and Orthopaedics. Mr Salem-Saqer completed his training in the East Midlands region, gaining experience in both tertiary centres and district general hospitals. He undertook a paediatric orthopaedic fellowship at the internationally recognised Sheffield Children’s Hospital, followed by a dedicated foot and ankle fellowship at Nottingham University Hospitals. His clinical practice in foot and ankle surgery includes the management of arthritis, bunion correction, sports injuries, ankle arthroplasty, ankle fusion, and complex foot deformities. He also has a particular interest in diabetic foot conditions. In paediatrics, he provides care for a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders, including persistent clubfoot, hypermobility, cerebral palsy-related conditions, and limb deformities. Mr Salem-Saqer is active in research and education, with presentations and publications at both national and international orthopaedic conferences.
