About Dr Gordon Hale
Dr Gordon Hale is a Consultant Dermatologist. Dr Hale obtained their primary medical qualification from the University of Dundee, graduating with a First-Class Honours intercalated Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree in Human and Clinical Genetics. Following this, Dr Hale undertook four years of training in general medicine in hospitals located in the West of Scotland. In 2014, Dr Hale obtained the Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom qualification and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Dr Hale began their training in dermatology as a clinical fellow at the Royal Hospital for Children and Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, both in Glasgow. Following a competitive application process, Dr Hale was selected for a specialist training programme in dermatology at Sheffield Children's Hospital and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust. Dr Hale was appointed to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Consultant Dermatologist. They also hold the position of Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow. Dr Hale has contributed chapters to the Oxford Handbook of Paediatric Dermatology and has been published in numerous journals, including the British Medical Journal, the British Journal of Dermatology, and Clinical and Experimental Dermatology. They have presented their work at both national and international conferences and have been the recipient of awards from the British Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Dermatology and the North of England Dermatology Society.
