About
Her first fellowship was at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, focusing on general ophthalmology with surgical experience in cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, strabismus and paediatrics, alongside a special interest in oculoplastics. She then completed a second fellowship at the Bristol Eye Hospital as an Oculoplastics and Orbital Fellow, where she managed lid, lacrimal and orbital conditions, participated in the CIRTED Trial on thyroid eye disease, and led weekly multidisciplinary orbital meetings.
Dr Kalapesi has published 14 peer-reviewed articles in ophthalmology and has presented at both national and international conferences. She is currently a consultant surgeon at Westmead Public Hospital, is affiliated with the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and serves as an honorary Visiting Medical Officer at RPA Hospital. She also consults through several private clinics and hospitals across Sydney, including personalEYES.
