Dr. med. Erich Rinke ist Facharzt für Hals-, Nasen- und Ohrenkrankheiten. Seine Ausbildung zum Arzt für Allgemeinmedizin absolvierte er im Krankenhaus Lainz. Anschließend folgte die Ausbildung zum Facharzt für Hals-, Nasen- und Ohrenheilkunde bei Prof. Gerd Zechner. Dr. med. Rinke ist seit 1988 als Facharzt zugelassen.
Dr. med. Rinke studierte Medizin an der Universität Wien. Während seines Studiums war er als Demonstrator am histologisch-embryologischen Institut der Universität Wien tätig. Seine Promotion zum Dr. med. schloss er am 10. Juli 1979 ab.
Dr. med. Rinke ist Mitglied der Ärztekammer Wien.
