Dr Ebtisam Kotakat is an Acupuncturist, specially trained in Hijama. She has trained in Complementary Medicine in both China and the USA, and is certified to treat patients using Cosmetic Acupuncture.
Between 1995 and 1998, she trained and became certified in Sport and Therapeutic Massage, from Chicago School of Massage Therapy in the USA. Alongside this, in 1995 she trained in Moxa therapy, Cupping and Hot stone massages in Austria. Furthermore, in 1997 she became certified in Manual Lymph Drainage at Dr Vodder School in the USA. Then in 2005, she completed Clinical training in neck and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, before becoming certified to provide Cranio-Sacral Therapy at the Upledger Institute. Following this in 2006, she trained in Neuromuscular and Reiki Release/ Japanese healing.
Dr Kotakat is a member on the American board for Oriental Medicine and Acupuncturist. She has extensive experience in both the USA and Dubai. She focusses on improving health and wellbeing using Oriental Chinese Medicine. She treats neck and back pain, stress, insomnia and migraines.
