About

Dr Timothy Sevitt trained at the prestigious Cambridge University and Addenbrookes Hospital Medical School, qualifying in 1998.

Dr Sevitt completed his general medical training in Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds, after which he moved to London to work at the Royal Marsden Hospital. His decision to then train in Clinical Oncology led to him passing his Fellowship in the Royal College of Radiologists in 2005. During his training, he also gained a fellowship to work at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia; a recognition of his excellence and skill in his field.

Dr Sevitt completed his oncology training in 2008 and was appointed as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Kent Oncology Centre. He specialises in the management of Lung and Upper GI carcinomas and has developed stereotactic radiotherapy (SABR) and IMRT treatments for lung and upper GI malignancies in Kent, treating patients with high rates of success.

Dr Sevitt has previously been chair of the West Kent Lung Multidisciplinary team for the 4 years and the NIHR Sub-speciality lead for lung cancer in Kent, Surrey and Sussex. In addition to this, Dr Sevitt also has a keen interest in both research and education and is a Training Program Director for Clinical Oncology; helping to train the next generation of oncologists.
